AMT II Corp. Teams With Douglas Aerospace, L.L.C. Providing Consulting Service To Aerospace Industry

The AMT II Corporation, and Douglass Aerospace, L.L.C., have reached an agreement whereupon they will team to provide consulting services to the global Aerospace and Defense Industry. This new team will offer in depth, experience covering a broad range of issues of importance to the global aerospace market place.

The Douglass Aerospace team leader will be the Honorable John W. Douglass. Douglass brings over 45 years of Aerospace experience to the combined team. A retired USAF Brigadier General, former Assistant Secretary of the US Navy, senior staff member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, and Director of Defense Programs on the National Security Council at the White House, Douglass is a nationally recognized expert on systems acquisition. He is the immediate past President and CEO of the Aerospace Industries Association.

The AMT II team leader will be Mr. Paul W. Pendorf, President of AMT II. Pendorf has long experience in manufacturing, marketing and global financing. He has run firms in the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia. AMT II Corporation is a private investment and management firm that acquires companies in the aerospace and specialty chemical sector with emphasis on carbon fiber composites and related technologies. It is a Delaware Corporation with offices in New York City, Las Vegas, Washington D.C. and southern California.

Paul Pendorf has held and holds executive positions and seats on several Boards of Directors in the specialty chemical, carbon fiber and aerospace industries since the early 1970s. Former executive positions include: Pfizer, Inc., the American Cyanamid Company, and Fiberite Corporation. More recently, he held the position of Managing Shareholder, President and Director of the Advanced Products Corporation (APC), a holding company founded by Kline Hawkes L.L.C. (a Los Angeles private equity fund), and AMT II. APC owns aerospace companies in California and New England. Prior to APC, Mr. Pendorf was President and Managing Director of Hitco Carbon Composites, Inc. (HITCO), located in Gardena, California, as well as a former Vice President of Cytec Industries Corp. In 1995, Pendorf founded The American Materials & Technologies Corporation (AMT I), with subsidiaries Culver City Composites, Inc., Grafalloy, and Carbon Design L.L.C., UK.

The Partnership will be headquartered in AMT’s Washington, DC office headed by Mr. Donald E. Ellison, Vice President. Mr. Ellison has served as a career official in the federal government, a trade association professional, an industry executive, a consultant to multinational companies and entrepreneurs, and a member of corporate boards of directors. Additionally, since 1988 he has been appointed and  reappointed by successive U.S. Secretaries of Commerce and United States Trade Representatives to provide guidance on international trade policies for the Executive Branch and the U.S. Congress.

Mr. Ellison serves on numerous trade and professional association committees. Most recently, he is past Vice Chairman of the Space Council at the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA). Mr. Ellison is also a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and a graduate of its Corporate Directors Institute.
